Two words to describe Leslie’s work from a long-time client are “Timeless and inspirational.”

Leslie is a Louisiana native with a visual arts degree and over two decades of experience. She is just as inspired by her global travels as she is by her hometown of Lafayette, where she says, “Faith and family go hand in hand. This community has defined the artist that I am today.” With every piece, she hopes to elicit feelings of warmth, nostalgia, love, and family.

On her process, Leslie says:

Typically, I start a piece spontaneously and then become more detailed as the composition starts to show itself. In many of my paintings, there are no preconceived notions of what is going to evolve. I notice different characteristics and forms in the middle of the process and then nurture them to allow them to develop almost on their own. My hope is that the viewer get an insight into who I am as an artist, a mother, a wife, a Christian, and a human being.
